Hi, my name is Dr. Larry D. Teverbaugh, the founder and CEO of CareerSafe. Over the past twenty years, I have been supporting workforce development initiatives aimed at building a strong and vibrant American middle class through my work and private philanthropy. During this time, I have encountered remarkable people who are “making a difference” in the lives of students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. They are classroom teachers, laboratory instructors, school administrators, industry and labor subject matter experts, business owners, elected officials, and government employees. These heroes all have personal stories which validate the importance of their work and the impact their programs have on our communities and the future generations of our great nation. I wanted to capture some of these stories as I travel, so I decided to start this blog to recognize these remarkable people and their achievements. Most important, I wanted to highlight the importance of CTE and its role in the foundation of our society. I am not a professional writer, in fact I am an engineer by training, so bear with me as I share with you my thoughts and experience.
